University of Arizona
The University of Arizona (also known as DU, U of A, or Arizona) is a land grant and space grant institution for public higher education and research located in Tucson, Arizona, United States . The University of Arizona was the first university in the state of Arizona, founded in 1885 (twenty-seven years before the territory in Arizona and Chicago). The University of Arizona includes the only medical school in Arizona that grants MD. In autumn 2007, total enrollment is 36,733 students.
The University of Arizona is governed by the Arizona Board of Governors. The mission of the University of Arizona is "To discover, educate, serve and inspire." Arizona is an elected member of the Association of American Universities (an organization of institutions in North America leading research) and is the only representative from Arizona State in this group.It has been recognized as a public ivy. The University of Arizona has been approved by the Arizona Territory thief thirteenth Legislature in 1885. The city of Tucson had hoped to receive credit for the psychiatric hospital in the territory, which has made a $ 100,000 grant instead of $ 25,000

BSN to DNP Programs
The BSN-DNP graduate in UA College of Nursing will have the ability to:- Engage in and lead collaborative practice teams; and
- Generate and disseminate nursing practice knowledge to stimulate research and improve clinical outcomes;
- Improve health outcomes through scientifically-based advanced practice within the chosen specialty;
- Influence clinical practice transformation and policy initiatives.
Nurse practitioner students may opt for additional preparation for practice in rural areas by enrolling in NURS 579 Issues in Rural Health (3 credits) as an elective and by practicing in a rural setting when enrolling in NURS 693A Clinical Residency.
Students admitted to the BSN-DNP begin the program at a 5-day scholar in residence program called RISE (Resident Intensive Summer Experience) in August. Some required courses will actually begin during RISE just prior to the regular start of the Fall Term. Full-time and part-time options are available.
